Bam By Becky

My love for makeup and beauty started at the age of 4.  I would watch my Mom get all dolled up and I was amazed at the whole transformation from the makeup, clothes, and jewelry. I started to play in her makeup and I loved the way the colors would pop on my skin and make me feel like a superstar. I would play dress up and pose for the camera. At that moment I knew that was my passion.

I attended an all girl private high school and we were required to wear a uniform so of course I expressed my individuality through hairstyles and a little makeup. I would do some of my classmates makeup whenever I could. I would meet some of my classmates in the bathroom to do their makeup in front of the mirror like it was a vanity.  I loved making everyone feel pretty and confident any chance I had. I did makeup for younger girls for their dances, proms, and other events.

When I enrolled in Morgan State University in 2004, I studied Biology because I wanted to become a doctor. In my senior year I worked in a lab on campus and freelanced at MAC cosmetics at the same time. I graduated summa cum laude in 2008 but I didn’t want to go to Medical School because makeup was still calling me.

After praying on my next step I decided to pursue my passion instead. I worked full-time at MAC cosmetics from the time I graduated Morgan State University until the birth of my son in 2014.

From there, I started to build my own business, BAM by Becky. I’ve been doing make up for weddings, proms, birthdays, providing makeup lessons and all other types of special events ever since.  I recently added lash extension to my list of services.

I look forward to growing my business and my services by taking more classes in the fall.
